Hairline lowering in this female patient was accomplished with a hair transplant procedure by Dr. Alan J. Bauman, M.D. The African-American patient is seen here 'before' (preop) as well as 24hrs(one day), six months, and one year 'after' her hairline lowering procedure. Notice the aesthetic details in the hairline shape such as the central density and temporal point to produce a more symmetrical and pleasing shape. From a frontal view (not shown), her face has a more narrow appearance, which was one of the primary goals of the patient.
In terms of recovery, the scabbing/crusting from the procedure seen at 24HRS lasts approximately 7-10 days.
Hair growth begins around 6-12 weeks with 50% of the final result visible at 6MOS and a 'final' result at 12-15 months.
